Kemp Named U14 YCC Coach

MetroStars is excited to announce former Socceroo Matt Kemp as our Under 14 Youth Club Championship (YCC) Coach for season 2025.

Kemp is an exceptional addition to the club's coaching ranks having spent 14 years playing in the National Soccer League & A-League and represented the Socceroos in 2010.

During the time he also played under current Tottenham Hotspurs Manager Ange Postecoglou at Melbourne Victory.

Kemp won the 2008-09 A-League title with Melbourne Victory, and also won the Premiers Plate the same year, along with the Premiers Plate in 2005-06 with Adelaide United.

Kemp brings a deep understanding of football and the process of youth development which he can pass on to the next generation of talent at MetroStars.

His principles are formed around a deep passion for the game and the belief that work ethic and discipline is fundamental for growth.

Kemp has been part of the MetroStars' coaching ranks in MiniRoos and Junior teams.

Having already worked with this age group in 2024 we look forward to watching this group grow and develop under his tutelage in 2025!
