Graystone Extends For 2 Years

MetroStars is delighted to announce the appointment extension of Danny Graystone as the club’s Full Time Senior NPL Coach and Club Technical Director until the end of the 2025 season.

Graystone has led the club this season to the League Premiership and the club’s sixth Federation Cup title, and will lead the side into the 2023 NPL SA Final Series along with the club’s Australia Cup Round of 16 match as MetroStars aims to achieve more silverware this season.

Along with his role as Senior NPL Coach, Danny will also have the role of Club Technical Director working with the MiniRoo and Junior Technical Directors, with exciting new Junior Coaching Development Programs and Youth Player Pathway Development Programs that will be introduced in 2024 that was piloted this season, that will encompass both Juniors and Seniors to continue to align both structures moving forward.

Club President Rob Rende commented on the re-appointment,

"We have witnessed firsthand the dedication, passion, and strategic professionalism that Danny has brought to the club this year. The decision to continue with Danny’s leadership for the next two seasons was unanimous.”

In response to the news, Graystone remarked,

I am extremely grateful that the board and the club has entrusted me to lead this fantastic Football Club for the next 2 years and beyond.

We have built a solid foundation together this season that has resulted in success both on and off the field, and I am excited about what remainder of the season holds for us including in the NPL SA Finals Series and the Australia Cup.

We will give everything to ensure that we get the rewards that we deserve for all the hard work and dedication everyone has put into this season.”

I am already putting in plans to build upon this foundation and I am looking forward to working with everyone to continue to make this club stronger and to establish MetroStars as the go to club for all players and coaches who have the aspirations to fulfil their ambitions within the game.
