MetroStars come into this game following a hard fought win over reigning champions Campbelltown City
A second half goal from Tom Strain goal was the difference between the two sides in a tightly contested game at Steve Woodcock Sports Centre.
Youngsters Ariath Poi and William Mitev made their first team debuts, both coming off the bench in the second half.
Campbelltown pushed hard for an equaliser in the dying minutes but the MetroStars squad held firm and kept the Klemzig
Bottom placed Adelaide United last weekend suffered a second straight 3-0 defeat at home to Adelaide Comets. An Allan Welsh double and a Lansana Smith goal secured Barney Smith's side all 3 points.
Isaac Carmody is set to make his 100th appearance for the club.
Joshua Mori and Matthew Dawber are both out after sustaining hamstring strains. Nahuel Bonada could feature following his groin injury. Justin Davis and Cohan Morris both returned to action last week, both playing 45 minutes in the reserves.
The Young Reds are missing first team players Mohammed Toure, Pacifique Niyongabire, Lachlan Brook, Noah Smith and goalkeeper Dakota Oschensham who are all currently interstate with the A-League squad. Binyam Kebede is suspended following a straight red card against the Comets.
