Wooding On Trial With Phoenix
New Wellington Phoenix coach Mark Rudan has invited Liam Wooding to trial with the A-League club at their 10 day intense training camp on the Gold Coast.
Wooding flew out last week, where the squad will undergo double training sessions at the state-of-the-art training facility on the Gold Coast.
Wooding, who last season won the Sergio Melta Medal as the NPLSA Player of the Year, previously played one A-League match in the 2011/12 season for Adelaide United against the then named Melbourne Heart.
During the 10-day training camp, the Wellington Phoenix will play a closed-door friendly game against Brisbane Roar with the players wanting to impress with the FFA Cup against Bentleigh Greens on Tuesday August 7.
We wish Liam Wooding all the very best on the exciting opportunity.
